I have now driven the Mito 1.4 155hp and the Scirocco 1.4 160hp (in Portugal they cost practically the same and I was in doubt about which one I would buy). The Mito is good, but the Scirocco is in another league. For the same money (€1.500 difference...), there are no second thoughts. The suspension (DCC), the steering, the engine, the interior quality, the rear seats space and the gearbox are a lot better in the Scirocco. The whole VW feels more premium.

In the 90´s they never came near to the perfect reliability of Japanese cars epsecially like the one of Toyota. There are several reliability Report Statistics that prove that for 100%.
