No matter the complexity of the situation or system, absolutely anything can be predicted. It is impossible for you not to have said that, and so it is the same for I. Math, aside from your pre-definition, is just an understanding of reality, not reality itself, as is for Science. It's saddening to know that much of the populous would "believe" a twisted reality. Nothing is all-encompassing at the moment, but it's better to see than believe.I apologize, I really, couldn't, help myself.

I'd be suprised if this wasn't TAS. You'd have to have no more than a few ms reaction time to dodge all of those shots without playing frame by frame.

im not talking about the level 3 boss, that thing is almost designed to be able to die in one hit.

Just checked against my own video of the European version of Super R-Type (v=jW5yOC4-7EM): There seems to be a small difference, but I guess it's because of the lag due to the high amount of enemies. Doesn't look like it's that much longer, though.

Yes, on the real SNES. My friend who lives two blocks away still has a working SNES, so I could record a video of me killing the level 3 boss with 1 shot ;)BTW, I worked for Nintendo for 2 years and also played Super R-Type on SNES and on VC before it came out to ensure the VC version behaves the same way as the original on SNES.Trust me, I played the R-Type games for months, daily, for hours ;)

maybe on a rom, but not on the SNES, ive had this game when i was young and finished it at least twice every day.

Thanks for the info. I remember seeing that background in some early prototype screenshots in EGM but I just assumed that they changed it in the final product. Not only is that background different, the stage is much longer too because the US and European versions never played that far into the music, which was always my favorite track in the game.

Quote: "you cannot kill bosses in 1 hit not even with a fully loaded shot."Actually, it is possible. It's all about timing and the proper distance to the target. It's pretty easy on level 3 boss, for example. You start loading the cannon as soon as the scrolling stops and release it as soon as it's fully loaded (orange bar), then the boss is history. |
