I have 40gb PS3 I upgraded it to 160gb but after that I noticed something wrong, my PS3 started to make noise, the cooling fan is so noisy, So I decide to change to 80gb hard disk but still the same, I returned his original 40gb hard drive and its ok no noiseI dont know what went wrong? but Im sure I followed all details of upgrading hard driveOr maybe my 40gb PS3 is destined to his 40gb hard disk forever

yes that's why most ppl put there save files on an eternal hard drive (i think it's called that) and then put the new one in and then put there save files on the new hard drive

you can do that two ways:1) backup the system onto a USB device2) Your online account is saved to your ps3 not your hard drive so you can just re-download them for free of course.
