I always thought this was one of the most inspired and originally done covers. I like his brogue when he's singing. He's also Christy Moore's brother.

LOL this is...i want to know if guys like pat boone or luka bloom does african american hip hop or rhythm & blues songs, it's called "covered" when those songs don't need to be covered. But when a group like Run DMC does "Walk this way" (and is creative enough to use their own lyrics) it's called a "remake"? This is crap. I'm sure Luka Bloom is entertaining and a compelling singer. But he didn't have to do this song. He didn't just "cover" this song, he ruined it.

I saw Luka Bloom @ the Belly Up San Diego in the early 90's. I watched him play and play hard. He broke every string on his guitar. I've never seen guitar playing that aggressive, and I play Black Metal. He does not hold back. The lyrics are what they are. Just being able to shred like that and sing is fucking sick.
