No you didn't. That's not how English works. The String of words you put together gave the distinct meaning of saying that the band was a parody band, and that they parodied death metal (Which you also implied was shitty)

And the name is a play on words of sorts, im not sure how to say what it is, but its like saying, That guy's the Babe Ruth of Bowling.. means hes like 'THE BEST' at bowling.. well these guys are the Eagles (a nice soft rock kynda band) of Death Metal... so pussified metal-I LOVE EM
