There is a bundle of nerves between the jawbone and the skull. When the jawbone gets knocked back it pinches the bundle of nerves and knocks you out. It doesn't matter how buffed a person is. Here, you can see that the punch lands squarely on the jaw...instant knock out.

zen, I was not aware that there was a 2nd video, so I went based on what I saw on this one. And, as I said, I'm not defending the guy. He may be an asshole, but I was just making a logical point based on the video that is posted here. Also, see my response to dstills for more explanation.

Uh, dude, that doesn't mean he was knocked out. I'm not defending the guy, but if you read the 2nd point I made, you can see that the camera does not capture what happened after the punch. There could have been more that happened afterwards that the camera didn't show. Danzig is a fairly big dude and he probably could take a punch and get back up and fight. That's the point I was making.

When this happened, it was rather big news in the punk world. Danzig is known for being an egotistical (but talented) asshole. He never denied being knocked out (other video shows the puncher walking away and Danzig never gets up), and claimed the guy had a weapon. So....you have a Devil's Advocacy group? Cool.
