I disagree. I think RE must have better gameplay, but the story of SH series is quite better, so as the music. =) But yeah, they both are great games.

This game looks good. I like both RE and Silent hill. But I think RE has better storyline and gameplay aswell as more likable characters. this game is scary though. both are good!

Depends on how you think about it. Silent Hill is undeniably scarier, but Resident Evil has gameplay going for it (mostly in 4 and 5).
