The second truck is a Low Floor Volvo now known as the Autocar WXLL. It has a Heil Rapid Rail Co-Collector hopper on it. As for the Multipak, It is on a Mack LE chassis. It is true that when you buy a a garbage truck, you first order the chassis from the compacy that makes it and then it is sent to the company that builds the hopper and lifter you want where it is installed on your truck chassis.

Oh, sorry, I forgot that one, it's actually the second I was thinking of. It looks like a Volvo logo, but I've never seen that design from them...About the Heil - does that mean that Heil build the entire vehicle instead of just putting a compactor on a bought chassis? What I've heard in my corner of the world, you would either choose a truck and ask which compactor fits, or the other way around...

The first truck is a Heil Multipak.

Would that sideloader be the most used in the States? Sure lookt terrible sitting in that cab jumping around for each pick. (Where I live, I've never seen one; bins are for backloaders, dumpsters for frontloaders)Another thing... What brand is that first truck?

that ASL/Rearloader is such a strange truck...
