i figured out where he's flat: he's flat at 1:29 on the word night, he's pretty flat

I wouldn't exactly define his performance as flat. "felt" and "hope" were unfortunately off-pitch, but that was it as far as i could hear. He's got a wondrous timbre, but, his vibrato is very unpleasant. The boy can sing, but if you put Pavarotti's vibrato with Josh's timbre......THAT would be angelic.

It's vocal technique. It keeps the pitch up and allows for a rounder sound.

I was thinking the same thing but try listening to the first o night divine on night he might be a little bit.
