Hervie Herbert, Journey's original manager, said in an interview that Steve Perry lost his voice and tried to hijack Journey along the way. He didn't understand why Neal Schon kept courting Perry for a long time. To quote him, "(Journey) snatched defeat from the jaws of victory" when they let Perry string the band along.Not my words, people.Peace out.
