@tralliboll Actually I think he looked more like he was taken off guard at being questioned directly without the formalities, maybe in Latvia it is customary to offer greetings at the start of television interviews. With his English I think his priority was to grasp exactly what the host asked, rather then making fun of him.

Strange. AlJazeera made quite a mistake. First of all Ukraine, and Turkey ... well, lets be honest will never join schengen, maybe some "paper" border control agreement. Brits, think that they r brits and britain is for brits :) Well, they sort of control their borders and r not very interested in Schengen, but loads of aggrements work there as well, they r in EE, dont forget that.
