your right drifting has been around for a longtime, but they call him the drift king because in his first season of the super GT races he drift every turn of the track and won the race. that is why they called him the drift king. he also drifted his way into the super GT, all half of the super GT drivers out there. one last thing he is not the only drift king in japan, but he was the first.

even though its been around before him, he was the one who gave it a name. before that no one saw drifting for what it was. hes not called the drift king all over japan and the u.s for nothing
