Well actuallly Ocelot was taken over by Liquid in MGS2 because Ocelot has the same powers his dad has to talk to the dead. Liquid took him over but then after that he got rid of the arm that liquid was posessing him by.

So Ocelot was not Liquid but he was pretending to be Liquid so he can trick the Patriots to focus their attention on eliminating Liquid,Big Boss and Eva through Solid Snake so Naomi's virus could destroy the system and ahnilating the Patriots under their noses is that it?

Actually that's not true. It was an hoax. It was liquid pretending to be taken over by liquid. MGS4 explains it. Ocelot was trying to trick the Patriots.
