Train simulator is a fun game. It's the best dang game in the world. The only thing I don't like is the dynamic braking on the BNSF GP38-2. You can tell that the dynamic brakes have activated, when the AMP meter needle moves, but it shows no affect in slowing the train down. I mean the Dash 9's dynamics are fine, but the GP38-2's are terrible.

Well, from what I know. The bell is supposed to be activated when the train is starting or stopping. Now a days when the engineer sounds the horn for a grade crossings in the U.S. the bell is also activated. I guess both the horn and the bell are used to warn people.

well the bell is only used in Amercia (becouse is the law), in europe we just have the horn...
infrared567 (September 1, 2007 at 1:22 am)
so why do they have a bell and a horn, why not just have the horn?
kingofflight (August 29, 2007 at 7:40 pm)

i know the horn is used to warn other people and trains that you are approaching, but what is the bell for?
