Kind of. Check out the 360mods site for more info on getting replacement drives. You still need the drive controller card from your original xbox and you can just swap out the drives.

that's because your drive is broken more than just this magnet. Your drive can't get up to the xbox disc speed, but it can still play dvd's and music because it needs to spin slower for those...

My exact problem too - TW'09 fails within 3 holes, Halo3 & Gears run fine. 2/15/'06 manufacture date on mine. What's yours?

ok my xbox 360 has lasted 2 years before i ... not the xbox360 itself .. i fucked it up .. me and my bro .. the thing is we somehow manage to fuck the cd drive up in a way that it only plays dvd and when you put a actual xbox 360 game it tells you to put the cd in a xbox 360 console .. which is gay cus its really is in a 360 .. is there a way to fix it or am i to be left with a working 360 that doesnt play the 360 games :|
