Same as the u.s corrupting the minds of its citizens to convince them that iraq had WMD but everyone in the u.s forgets about that coz they are holier than thou

Furthermore, look at the immense scope of human suffering being endured by the hands of the Japanese all throughout Asia. All this being considered, far more lives were spared by the use of the atomic bomb than would have been if a full scale ground assault had been carried out by ally forces. So the bottom line is, the atomic bombs were a horrible tragedy and we have much to learn from this. But let's focus our energy on curtailing the entire warfare monstrosity first.

I haven't even mentioned what more hesitation to surrender on the part of the Japanese military government would have meant to the future prosperity of the Japanese islands. Russia was set to invade the mainland and instill a socialist occupational government. Had Japan not surrendered immediately following the atomic bombs, you could be looking at North Korea Senior right now.

Bottom line, the Japanese military government was a bigger threat to the Japanese people than the atomic bomb ever was. Look at what happened on Okinawa - something like 250,000 people killed on a piece of land smaller than Rhode Island. Imagine a ground assault like that on the Japanese mainland. The Japanese military government had so corrupted the minds of its citizens to convince them that Americans were murderous monsters bent on raping and cannibalizing the populace.

If china would have been the one to drop the bomb, I'm sure no one would have made a big fuzz about it.. But it wasn't China... it was us. The topic here is what WE were capable of doing. To your defend you would say oh yea Pearl Harbor.. but that was a militar base.. Not a mainland city in the U.S. and the numbers don't begin to compare to the people lost in Hiroshima and nagasaki. We had no right
