Shark torture, what fetsih is yet ti be sated on the internet?more seriously is there simply not a risk larger and consequently much more dangerous sharks may be attracted by by week magnet fields just as the are by propellays and hard points on dive equipment?I'd like to see this fieldtested with a wetsuit and great white ;)

My understanding is that sharks can sense weak electric currents in the water. By moving the magnet toward the shark, by Maxwell's equations, you create a changing magnetic flux that induces an electric current thereby hurting the shark. |
