Well, yes, they have. When the PS1 was in development, it was called the PlayStation Experimental. Although the name was dropped fro the final product, some people still called it the PSX. Older gamers, mainly.

It was a pretty BAD idea to call a PS1/PS2 hybrid a PSX, since people have been calling the PS1 the "PSX" for years.Confusing, man.

the psx is a special edition ps2 that was only released in japan because of low sales dude... so if ur confused, its a ps2 not a ps4 |
