Well firstly I'd go look at his personal youtube page, MrObsidian, and just look around on there, he has all kinds of awesome drumming videos on there in all kinds of different styles.

I'm not saying Roddy is a bad drummer. But I don't see all the hype that I hear about him. I keep hearing that he is the best of the genre (even best ever). But I have yet to see something to convince me of that. Any recomendations?

I know Reinhart's stuff, I'm just saying that technically and empirically he doesn't stand up to Roddy. I'm not dissing any of those drummers, because they are all great drummers, but Roddy something different in my opinion. He's amazing at pretty much everything drum related, and very well respected by the drumming community outside of his death metal stuff.

The difference between those drummers and Roddy is that Roddy is also proficient in many other styles of drumming other than death metal. And I really think the only drummer there that could challenge him in death metal anyways his Kollias.

that new drummer in slipknot is really good.. sounds more mighty.. when he plays its very heavy..also that speed metal dosnt beat funk in complications.. it takes stamina for this shit.. where as it takes serious skills for blues and jazz |
