Tsunami House Building in Kalmunai

CAFOD has assisted the Community Trust Fund with some post Tsunami temporary housing. CTF staff tell us now of the need for permanent housing in the Kalmunia area of the Eastern Disrict of Sri Lanka where they have been working. CTF is founded by a group of Muslim activists who where thrown out of Mannar and Jaffna in the 1990s. The organisation started by giving assistance to those displaced by this forced exodus but now extends its help to many disadvantaged groups.
