Pity the only way to try these products in Europe is to order it from the US and pay customs fees :/ BTW: your videos are great and thank you for the tips.

whitey430314- You need to make sure the handle knob is fully screwed down; the blade needs to be very stable in the razor to work properly. And yes, you probably used too much pressure and you don't have the razor angle down quite yet. Its OK, these are all very common problems for the new DE shaver and will work out with practice.

Hey Mark, I just purchased the merkur HD and I tried my first shave today. I tore my face apart. I think I was using too much pressure. Also, how tight should the handle be to the blade. When its as tight as it goes, it seems too flush. And when its looser with a gap between the blade and the gaurd, its loose in my hands. I was wondering the proper space between the razor and the guard. Thanks again for the post.

"Hey mantic59 ! very good job on shaving videos. After seeing your video , I have started using DE razors ,iam from india and I don't get good DE razors like merkur heavy duty or other good brands ,the problem is I have only three piece razor and an old aggressive gillete slim razor which gives me cuts & razor burns although the shaving is close. The question is wether i have to shift back to mach 3 or continue using DE razors for better shaves ?"

psidhu1979- Sorry for the late reply; I don't know why your post didn't show up until now. The brushes in this video were a Shavemaster V100, a Savile Row (lightbulb shape), and a Rooney. Shavemaster's, Simpson's, and Rooney's work exceptionally well for Method Shaving in my experience.

dumpling9999- The only place that I know of is Enchante in Austin, TX.

besides ordering from the internet, is there any shop that provides hydrolast products?

Hey Mark I was wondering if you could reveal the brand of the shaving brushes features in this video I am assuming them to be simpson? Or could you suggest the best brush( to be used with cream not soap) money not being an issue?
