You mean in B&R there was a subplot between the two, I thought she was in the film simply to show Bruce as a bachelor playboy. I've the read the very early comics, was that a comic character?

this really fits well with the story of Batman & Julie Madison. (it was on the batman & robin soundtrack. That movie was bad, but if you know their story, it fits perfectly. I can relate to this song in so many ways. Thats why I love Jewel AND Batman.
