every martial art has its advantages.. however, wing chun in particular has its strength in counterattack, precision and speed.. redirecting the attackers energy. jeet kun do concepts developed by Lee Jun Fan relies heavily on the essence of wing chun especialyy the bong sau-lop sau and thrusting punch as demonstrated here. Nice post.

"With mastery of Wing Tsun, one or two strikes is all what it takes."Im sorry but thats totally missing the whole point of wing chun. Any art can teach you explosive hits but that doesn't mean anything if you cant hit the other guy with one, hes not just going to let you hit him. Wing chun is more about reacting to the other persons movements effortlessly which opens him up for any attack you want to do...strong or not it doesn't matter.

Think twice when you say it is JUST an art. Fighting techniques like this have been developed over thousands of years where fighting with hands was the only thing there was. Basic street fighting would've looked the same thousands of years ago.Wing Tsun is popular because even if you have just average strength, you can be very deadly. With mastery of Wing Tsun, one or two strikes is all what it takes.

One or two strikes isnt going to finish most S/D fights.

I think some of those moves could be used in S/D . I dont and havent studied wing chun. I think if your going to fit what you do to S/Dthen you need to look at how people fight. Then have someone use the same moves found in most street fights. It could begin with punching and the types of punches used and how they are thrown. Other wise it remains purely trained as an art.

well to tell you the truth this is a horrible demonstration
wiseguy7star (July 22, 2008 at 2:09 pm)
most of those attacks were done totally out of range, there body positions jokable, i get tired of seeing wing chun practitioners making the art a joke they should fuck off if there not willing to train correctly.

nice clip I like very much the when the attacker grabs both of the women's hands and she uses her elbows, exactly how the elbows should be thrown. better than a lot of the shite wing chun on youtube

du musst nicht "sehr gefährlich" sein. es geht darum, die eigene gesundheit zu schützen und beim gegner möglichst wenig schaden anzurichten. nur so viel wie notwendig. |
