http://live.pirillo.com - Matt is a YouTube community member who watches us regularly. He recently sent me a very interesting email, asking about my thoughts on piracy, and how to put a stop to it. Piracy of music, software and movies is rampant these days, and there is just no one sure-fire way to put an end to it.

Yes he does.. The problem is he is the only one that enjoys his voice. The problem is he isn't funny and he rambles too long on simple topics.

Does this guy just enjoy hearing himself talk or what?

Asking people to be nice and moral is a waste of time on the non-religious. Ppl keep saying 'do the right thing'. That's silly. Super silly. Appealing to people's morals will get you absolutely NOWHERE. The anti-piracy movement is even less effective than the anti-drinking-and-driving movement. I don't have the solution, but it appears no one else does, either. Shutup. Cars are nothing like software. Your video has not helped the situation even a little bit.

well piracy will never end becouse softwere is so easy to copy becouse it is not made of matter that you can touch, so if you made say a peace of art on paper it would be hard to copy but soft is so easy just click here download this crack here, no problem, but as long as there are computers and any type of digital media around it will be imposible to stop piracy no matter what you do.

Why do people pirate software, DVDs, music cds, other medias? For sure some like the challenge and prestige. To see if they can do it. Others download for the sake of downloading. But, I think most pirate or and even resort to cd cracks because primarily: economics and budgetary concerns. DRM and other copyright protection systems that punish the legitimate consumer rather than the pirates themselves. Products that don't work properly or screw their system..especially in games

personally, i plan to make a violin cd soon, i'll probably sell it for $5, FOR THE CD i'll probably also put it on the web, for free, i'd rather have 100 people enjoying my music, than only 5 with $25 dollars in my pocket, then when those 100 people enhoy my music, they might donate some money, lets say 25 of them each donate a dollar, there you go, i got the same money i would of got, but im more famous, thats just my veiws...

Downloading pirated software is easier than approaching a vender and hoping to get a free copy. I could set my entire computer up in one session with pirated software; it would take ages to convince Mr. Bigbucks to give me a handout.

A lot of people have been saying that downloading files from the internet is illegal, well not really because if they have put their files up for download on their site then it's 100% legal, but if you are using torrent downloaders like bitlord for example then it is illegal

Yea companies these are asking too much money for the software, which can make people do more piracy, it's going to come to a point where theaverage person, may not be able to buy this software

I used a Pirate copy of windows vista to try and upgrade my system, I regret that now
