I don't think that kid is actually singing. If you look closely you can see his lips don't match the lyrics.

It's cool if this song makes you think about autism (and hopefully supporting its funding and events) I think that's great. However, thinking someone with autism is the LEAD SINGER in a touring band... that is a disturbing indicator of the status of our educational system. O.o

yeah you can interpret the song however you wantbut my understanding is that its about isaac's (lead singer)little brothre Caleb, who wasnt good enough for the band, and was asked to leave. the songs about how his relationship with his brother deteriorated afterwards
