Let's go for a ride in some Avid Flyers. I shot and produced this for my client, Avid Aircraft of Caldwell, Idaho. 100% of the aerial video I shot from an Avid, all handheld. The ground scenes were shot on my tripod.

Don't try it. Please! This was a Factory Built Avid, built to aerobatic standards, flown by a professional pilot with many years of experience and who was wearing an emergency chute. In addition to having beefier spars, this was a clip-wing version with the speed-wing ribs, not the high-lift ribs...What training have you had in aerobatics?

Nice 4-point roll. Do you think my Avid Model C would do anything like that?

This was a marketing/product video. Prospective customers often buy "demo-tapes" (nowadays DVDs) to get a closer look at products like this. Thanks for you comment.

I can only hope my Catalina looks as good and flies as nice as this.
