This is not even a fair test. He's using an out dated Sprint Phone against his brand new IPhone. Why not do it on either a 755 or the 800? I know because it would kill the iPhone. You could do the 800 against the New iphone but knowing that AT&T's 3g network is really small compared to Sprint's EVDO REV-A. If it's really so quick why are all the Demo phones in the Apple store hooked up to WiFi?

There is something wrong with this test. I cleared my cache and history on my Treo 700wx and loaded into cnn mobile in less than a few seconds. Something is definitely up.

Also consider how much more information the iPhone had to download, because it's not the "mobile" site but the regular site.

Yeah but it's built in browser vs built in browser...Besides who wants the "mobile" internet...
iphonePOV (July 16, 2008 at 5:28 pm)
Yes, you can. The iPhone will also seek out open wireless networks which are pretty easy to find in big cities.
