I use my HDTV and it already has built in speakers. The red/white plugs are for speakers.

tryed it, I will prob just contact tech support. its really no big deal though, I can just put the PC in sleep mode. One last question though, did you ever hook up your PC speakers to the selector? I'm having trouble figuring out how to hook up my logitech speakers to it. I have 5 speakers and a base.

I dont have that problem but if you want a quick fix, try unplugging the HDMI cable and replugging it. Or the power plug on the selector. If you still have problems, contact the manufacturer. I'm not tech support.

I want to be able to switch between the two without restarting my pc.

hey, mine just came in today. Everything works ok, just some minor problems. It switches to the xbox fine, but when I switch back to pc, I get no signal. I have to restart the pc then it works. Any idea how to fix this?

A cable is different from the big black box that you see which is know as a selector.
