Hey, thanks. ;-) Y'know, that's not coming to mind, either. Again, this was on when I was really little, and, to be honest, most of my TV memories of that time are of Sesame Street and Mister Roger's Neighborhood (we were big PBS junkies in my house). If you wanna talk Sesame, though, then I'm game!

The Great Space Coaster ran syndicated for 5 years from 1981 to 1986. Do you remember Goriddle Gorilla falling in love with Actress Sally Struthers as a guest star? Amanda is a very pretty name!

I remember Goriddle Gorilla, but I don't remember Frannie, unfortunately. : ( Just out of curiosity, was The Great Space Coaster affiliated with WTOR?

Thoughts: The music behind the first LBS logo always creeped me out. The music behind the WBGH logo (aka "The Logo of Doom") seems so much less creepy behind the Children's Television Workshop logo. No idea why. (Those of you who hate the WBGH logo/music: remember that "This Old House" often came after it, which means...awesome clarinet theme song!) And I have had the "CHOICE 5!" song in my head for several days...aaaaaagh!

HA HA! In my fifth grade science class, all we ever did was watch the PBS programs targeted toward kids (Newton's Apple, anyone?) It was awesome.

Do you remember Frannie on TGSC, the 16 year old brunette singer/guitar player who used to tease Puppet Goriddle Gorilla?

I love you.

Oh, God...that was on when I was really little (3 or 4 - born in 1980). I don't remember much about it, but I do remember that there was a big walking puppet-type thing named Baxter...
