Just documenting my RROD fix*update*Just so everyone knows, this is temporary it won't restore it forever (i mentioned this in early comments). Also mentioned that it may be risky, and that the warranty is a much better way to go about fixing this, as it's risk free and will not RROD again once MS fix it.

keep your console in open area so it can be well vented. if you keep it in a closed area it will get the rrod for sure. this is sketchy i wouldnt try this.

mine just got it and i dont like it...at all and im sending it in, but before i do im trying to find a way to fix it, but no modding or towel fix or anything else of that sort

my elite made march 08 didn't rrod... but the ram started comming off the board (freezing issue). The 175w chip doesn't solve rrod issues... when they stop using lead free solder in 360's that will solve the issue. They use lead free solder due to the electronics being around children. Get yourself a talismoon fan and do the xclamp replacement and you should be set.

as a viewer, how do the viewers know it is even the same machine, could be a switch with a one that didnt have rrod.
