yeh i agree, without tony metal wouldnt have been invented, but without ward and particularly geezer all the other sub genres wouldnt have been influenced so much (anyone who thinks cliff burton was the first metal bassist to read lovercraft needs to be castrated). Phil collins is a douche.

i'm with ya man. Iommi IS Sabbath. I don't care who the singers were, Iommi was the backbone of that band. Not to discount Geezer or Bill Ward's massive contributions, but Iommi really kept the band going.

I think it was because Tony was more about exposure of the great music and slash was more about exposure of him self and living the party rock and roll life style.

Tony Iommi doesnt get enough credit. personally I think he's one of the most, if not the most, influential metal guitarists. yet no one but Black Sabbath fan's have ever heard of him! yet everyone knows who Slash is, but what the hell did he ever do?
