I'm sure it was. You know there are several videos on YouTube of people performing this trick at home! And they claim there are no camera tricks involved! So it isn't that difficult I think....

I was fortunate enough to see him perform this illusion live back in 2000 (the trick was taken out of the show a few years ago I think) and aside from a few minor differences, it looked exactly like you see it here. It was funny, because he introduces the illusion by just saying "time to get cut" out of the blue. Then everything goes dark, the music starts, and the ladies start to dance. It was awesome.
