ha if you knew anything about cameras you would know that any SLR would out preform a point and shoot. If you wonder why its because it uses specific lenses for different occasions. I use this camera and it works fine as long as you get good glass like any photographer should.

well the noise is low, but not above iso 800 :/ however one small thing about d50 is even better than new d700... you can use flash with shutter opened for just for 1/500s! you can shoot a flying bat in a dark cave with that!! :)

Yeah, due to the low pixel density it certainly is better than the D200.. But it won't get close to the D3! (D50 owner myself)

this camera still has the lowest noise of any Nikon dslr. I use one as a back up body for my wedding shoots. I has some of the noise free images i have ever seen. People who judge things just on how much they cost are mindless fanbois.
