This is pure ignorance and hate. Choosing what religion to follow is a bigger choice than choosing your sexual preferance. A little over 100 years ago the LDS church was segregated for their beliefs, you'd think with that in mind they would be less hateful to the homosexual community. This shouldn't have even been an issue on the ballot. So what if a homosexual person wants to get married...that changes absolutely nothing for you personally! It's not our choice to deny someones happiness!

It isn't wrong to be gay, it is however wrong to be a hateful bigot, and actually gay people are just as much a part of the community as anyone else, they have jobs, just like everyone else, and help keep society going, just like everyone else.

Because they donated 80% of the Yes on 8 funds and organized phone trees here in Utah. They also read letters in their meetings telling people to give their money to vote yes on 8. It is disgusting what this corporation has done. SHAME ON LDS!

Twenty six different churches combined forces to fight for Prop 8. Why does the gay community single out the LDS church?

The rights of the people are not supposed to be voted on, 30 years ago if there had been a vote whether or not to give black people rights it would not have passed, even today in some places it would never pass.

They should not have been given those extra rights in the first place. The Supreme Court basically decided to redefine marriage to include same sex marriage against the will of the people. Prop 8 was voted on to make the wrong things right.
