Batman Forever - Recut Opening (1)

The original version of Batman Forever (1995) was far from Joel Schumachers orginal intention for the film. The part most destroyed in the editing process was the opening. The sequence orginally intended was to first show Two-Face's escape, Bruce Wayne turning down Edward Nygma's 'Box', then have Batman fight Two-Face. The escape sequence was cut and Nygma's invention was moved later. I attempt with this re-edit to make the opening sequence closer to it's orignal intention. Sadly, I don't have Two-Face's escape sequence to it put back in, but I have moved Nygma's invention to the beginning, then followed by Batman's battle with Two-Face. P.S.: I also cut some stuff to make the movie take itself a bit more seriously (I cut the "I'll get drive-thru" line). Enjoy, PythonMonty504 [Note: I have or will have any intention to use this for porfit. This is just a labor of love and creativity.]

i like your idea man but your editing sux. no offence man. but you dont just throw in a fade transisition to make a cut or else it doesnt seem real. and u cant just cut a scene then start a new scene when theyre both in the middle of their music. your edit was choppy. fail man. but overall a good idea.

i noticed that to! cris oddonel was probally ad-libbing names and he read up history of robin and probally accidently said nightwing...or maybe after batman and robin they were planning to have robin turn into nightwing and that was a hint but then since batman and robin sucked shit they probally just said eff it lmfao

Nice try at editing the opening, but the pace suffers as a result.

It's amazing how badly a company can fuck up an opening...

it's quite funny-when batman n robin have just got to a shore of an island [owned by two-face and the riddler] robin says "holy metal rocks batman!" batman says "excuse me?" then robin says "these rocks are solid metal, and have holes in, so holy." batman then nods and they go on their way [the "holy (something) comes from the tv series]. also, robin mentions nightwing in a list of names for him, and nightwing was the name robin took in the tv series when he became an independant superhero
