actually it because a comedian on this show that came on before eddi did an impression of him talking about "moths" eddi was obviously listening to it backstage, thats why he said "moths"...

Why waist ten minutes on a set-up to get to a point that he starts off on? Not only is it funnier because he cuts through the bull shit, but his off the top of his head style of humor works incredibly well with it.

actually, b/c anyone who has seen him before, knows how RANDOM his comedy can be but how he ties it all in... so by saying 'moths' as the first thing, ppl laugh b/c they're intrigued as to where his bit's going to go.
