Patten never granted Hong Kong any democracy. We were never able to vote. It's absolutely hypocritical to only push through a democratic framework when Hong Kong was about to be returned to China. It's beyond my comprehension how a country that snatched Hong Kong through drug-trafficking, exploited the people through monopolizing its land and collaborating with banks could still maintain this dignity and respect. Is any British shameful of what they did? It makes me sick. |
