you can seriously injur your hand by playing to low:if your hand is really relaxed while shreding with a low strap,all of a suden ,while doing a big stretch at the nut you can rip some ligaments or tendins especially when you qre really warm,so be careful,it happened to me and it really sucks.

Emotion is a perfectly legitimate reason not to go too fast. If he can't convey the emotion you obviously can with an arpeggio a second,so what? He's the one with a band. Let's see what you've got
