In the US, "Say it Ain't So, Joe" has evolved into a sort of catch-all phrase for the disillusionment that we all feel, be it about politics, or the economy, or the $40 billion bailout of the greed-mongers at AIG et all who should all be in jail. This song becomes more timely the older it gets - la plus ca change...
