While he was only a gelding and therefore pretty worthless in terms of breeding and decendends,he is utterly priceless to the racing industry and without doubt his acheivements will never be equalled let alone surpassed,an absolute Legend.God Bless.

Notice how much cleaner these horses are jumping than today? They respect the fence and clear it, instead of crashing into the top. I am not sure sure making the fences ' softer' are doing horses or riders any favours. You want the horse to jump clean.

Time blurs the memories I suppose. I am right about the disallowed goal though, of that I'm certain. If anyone can get the match od the day footage of that I'd love the chance to see it again. It was Brian Hamilton scored it as I remember.
