I agree. No, definitely do not forget Al Green! I live 60 miles from Memphis. Elvis and Al will always be 2 of my favorites. My son is 20 and he loves all the 70's music, even some 60's, David Ruffin is his 2nd favorite to Elvis! Simply mind blowing.

the 70s were a great time to be a teenager in to music and have an open mind, i rocked out on all the above and then some, i.brothers, staple singers, rick james, tina, james brown, don't forget Al Green was so cool.. my mama turned me on to him! my sons are in their 20' and they know & like all of the above bands. so good music really does stick around. now that i'm older and get it, i love the blues!

sorry,...that was supposed to be 'eddie k.' in my previous comment... my proofreading failed me. also, thanks for such a great video of a live performance. phillipe (did i spell it right?) was a terrific vocalist.

from some of the comments made here and elsewhere, i don't think some people realize how unbelievable it was back in the '70s... spinners, o'jays, teddy, curtis, ohio players, war, commodores, 4tops, tempts, barry, lou, stylistics, main ingredient, hot choc., smokey, eddie r. and david r. gone solo, billy paul, johnny taylor, chi-lites, rufus w/ chaka, aretha, donna summer, roberta, it was a great time to grow up with the radio. i can't imagine not knowing marvin's What's Going On. it was unreal.
