There are only three things in economics, land, labor and capital and this means there are only three things that can be taxed. Taxes on labor and capital are confiscatory, create disincentives, result in unintended consequences and skewed decisions, and can be avoided by removal from the jurisdiction. Taxation of land value is none of these things because all land value is 100% created by the community as a whole and there is no penalty to individual effort. It is called land value taxation.

John Edwards says he will take on the big corporations to equalize things. That is the main reason I am for him. Plus I just don't think Hillary or Barack can win in the general election.

Sorry for all the parts of this comment but it will only allow 500 characters....part 4..The big corporations such as the one that I work for are just as guilty of this mentallity as the one my wife worked for. The people that run the big corporations don't care about the little people that take them to the top. The only company I can see that the others need to learn from is Google. They treat the people who are making them money like gold. All companies should learn from them.

comment part 3..Now the owner opened a larger nicer center in a town about 15 miles away from us. She hired the help for that center, got it going good. Since she is making more money at that center, she decided to close the one in our town. Now, since she already has the help at the new center, my wife was put out of work. While this is just a small center it represents the fact that these people making the big dollars don't care about those that are actually making them that money.

Comment part 2.... Take for instance my wife, she has worked in a Day Care Center for 14 years. While the owners increased thier income, she only got two raises in the 14 years. The day care fees were about 35 dollars a week when she started there. They are now 85 dollars, my wifes pay has only gone up 40 dollars a week. She took care of at least 10 children each day during the week. that represents an increase of 460 dollar a week increase for the owner while my wife only got 40 dollars.

He is talking about educating people so they can become wealthy. As someone who does not have a college education, I resent this. I am not stupid and can't start a business on my own because I am not educated enough. It is because those that run the corporations are making all the money. |
