Nouvelle Vague does the worst possible cover to this song and the swans aren't much better

I agree totally, I thought people were joking when they said The Swans was a good version and watched the whole video waiting for the punchline, this version is much better but still not even close to being as good as the original.

I like Jose but I don't like this chord arrangement at all. The Nouvelle Vague cover is much better.. The chord voicings Nouvelle use are far prettier

if you want an easy listening version of this song check out the version by the swans with jarboe on vocals and susanna and the magic orchestra. this by far is the most punky acoustic version.
