a regular umbrella would bend or snap in half. you could clobber as many guys as you needed to with this one. plus it hits with the force of a bat. it looks darn classy too.

Awesome. I train in a combat for of hand-a-half-sword and this would be perfect for defense...and why is it GBH. In Britain a reasonable level of self-defense is allowed, so if you get mugged at knife point..why not respond if your family is in danger. You can do this bagwork with any brolly... but just not twice :) it's not edged or really nasty. I mean you could maim with a biro if you were nasty enough.

If anyone used this umbrella for self defence they would be sent to prison for GBH... it is TOO strong to be used in self defence!!! Only reasonable force can be used in self defence,beating someone like he did to that punch bag would send the defeneder to prison,not the attacker....this product is ridiculous

why is this umbrella better suited to "self defence" than a normal umbrella?If someone attacked me surely I could (self defend) hit them with any umbrella? I dont need an especially strong one that I can balance between two chairs and stand on to be able to hit someone with it do I?!!!
