I think what you say is actually true. I stare down the kids that dress like gangsters, with their baggy jeans, white tees, and locs. They hang out in packs of 3-20. Most of the time they turn their heads away as I pass by whereas if I did that 10 years ago, I probably would of had my throat slit.Funny how close we used to live to each other...

Plus, as you know in LA, moving just one block can be a big difference.Lafayette and Macarthur park are just a few blocks away from each other, but have completely different vibes if you know what I mean.I would take my friends down to Lafayette to play some ball, but I wouldn't take em to Macarthur park. Had a bad experience there, plus it smells like piss. Even if they got cops parked there 24/7. (The other username is my younger cousins account, didn't realize he was using my computer)
