I found them both in my dictionary (Chambers). But insanitary certainly works better for the song. And safari likes both versions as well. Unsanitary, insanitary amd I get no red underline, unlike when I typed "amd".

no its insanitary ive been teaching english in Cambridge university for over 20 years and it's insanitarysorry but its true

That's like asking a mathematician "Who cares if 2+2=4 or 5?" I'm a Linguist. It's what I do. Is it completely relevant? No. But I couldn't stand to see such abuse of the English language go unchecked.

while you are praising one of the best comedians alive, WHO CARES IF ITS IN OR UN?

Er, well, I hate to start an argument again, but "un-" is not a valid affix for "sanitary." There are certain constraints in the English language based on phonology and derivation that do not allow for "unsanitary." Klopfer, Laurie, and the dictionary are right, it's "insanitary".

Even so, it's not bad grammar. It would have been a spelling error at most. But he's singing, so it's not even that. Okay, enough pedantry.
