Unless you live where there is a speedy 3G network. I'm happy with my iPhone 3G purchase due to the upgraded 3G speed. The extra price per month is worth it.

the starting plan is $70 and that includes free internet and 450 minutes and other stuff, all of the plans have free internet, but only in US, if you leave the country and use your iphone you will get a huge bill, it has happened before
