if you compare Eric at his prime, which was decades ago, and John at his prime, which is now, then Clapton wins by far. but in this particular performance I think Mayer gave a better solo. it's clear John was set on impressing his idol, while Eric didn't give it his all.

you're right... it does look that way, but no, they're the exact same model... JM's just has his big dipper pickups and rosewood fretboard, while claptons has his mid-boost electronics and maple fretboard... JM is a LOT taller than clapton, making his strat look smaller

Im not a native speaker, could someone explain me, or say in some other words this part of the lyrics: "you can still barrelhouse baby on the riverside". I actually dont understand the first part of the sentence. Thanks.
