Iron Maiden Live in Sydney 1 'Bruce Tells Off Janick'

At the beginning of the encore, Bruce tells of Janick for wrecking the fireworks at the show's finale. Janick was prancing and posing at the front of the stage over top of the cannons and the tech could not ignite the pyro to conclude the show. Bruce took Janick aside to berate him before coming back onstage to berate him in front of the entire audience.

I think I may disable comments on this video because the comments in support of Janick are based purely on anger and emotional attachment, rather than consideration for what is actually right for the band. Three guitarists on pre-Janick Maiden songs sounds like a big sonic fart and watching Janick throw his guitar in the air and wave 'magic hands' at it looks even worse than it sounds. I'll end this discussion with a quote from one Bruce Dickinson: 'Set fire to the f*&ker - we don't care'.

Janick sucks in Maiden. He might be good in other bands, I couldn't say. But as far as Maiden goes he is an unnecessary addition since Adrian returned. As I've stated before, they may as well have kept Blayze in the band as well, as two singers makes about much sense as three guitarists.

Bruce is a knob. Anyone who says Janick sucks clearly haven't heard him play with Gillan. Way better then the over rated pish Maiden haved been releasing!

Maiden purists? Haha who do you think you are? Some special elite? No, you're just some guy the whole band would probably love to beat the shit out of for being such a dick about their friend and partner. You ignored my point. Bruce makes a dick out of himself, Nicko makes a dick out of himself, Dave sometimes does, why does it matter if Jannick does? It's much better to watch than say, Adrian while a fantastic guy and guitarist, stands around like he really doesn't want to be there.

It makes a lot of sense. I'll try to make it simple for you as it seems you struggle with basic concepts. Here goes. Imagine a funeral procession. Twelve black hearses travel slowly down a quiet street as ominous clouds gather in the skies above. Then imagine that a pink Volkswagen Beetle appears playing ABBA tunes at full volume with fireworks shooting out of its headlights. The pink car is Janick and Maiden purists, such as myself, don't appreciate his antics wrecking the show. End of story.

Yes he can play guitar, and your main problem seems to be he throws around the guitar a lot.That makes as much fucking sense as "jesus why doesn't Bruce just stand still?! Running around and dancing, god it makes me fucking sick, what a poser! What a wanker! I HATE HIM ARHGHHGHGH"

I was more embarrassed then angry. Can Janick even play the guitar??? All I saw was him throwing it in the air and waving 'magic' hands at it. There is enough theatrics at a Maiden show with him acting like a clown.
