I agree to an extent, however several factors in small piston motors offer an overal superior powerband, seen in the Honda H22 or Subaru's 2.5L boxer. Granted, imports don't excel in drag racing due to the lack of torque (aside from the NSX and GTR), however they strongly excel in endurance, runtime, tuning, & high speed traction as well as fuel efficiency and longevity. If you fuse two DOHC Vtec 4-cylinders together, you'd still see significant power over a conventional carbuorated V8.

The only reason it can run pump gas is because it's running extremely rich & is actually missing power. The Viper uses every ounce of perfectly tuned power to it's maximum potential. In the eyes of a chemist, the Viper wins.

You talk a lot of shit 44, and are either ignorant or just oblivious. Not all of the US are idiots, we just televise it more, so you tend to get the impression. When I go to London & Cardiff, I see some pretty ridiculous shows, with characteristics much like those of Jerry Springer - which by the way, nobody in the US watches. Every country has it's trash, and trust me, I've met British trash that has truly dominated American trash. Anyway... stop watching TV. Get a life.
